Load of bo**ocks:D Sitting in Shotley drinking my G&T wind not got up above F4 if that all day and guess what (http://www.infometeo.be/allcams/campage22.php) Still took Caroline into Ipswich went to the museum the entance (Natural History section) hasn't changed in 50 years:D then on a tour of my boyhood haunts (thanks Satnav) and Grans old house, so the day wasn't wasted. I will continue to keep my own council on matters weather in future:rolleyes:

I would have rather been 40 miles off shore in a fecking washing machine than dealing with the morons today.....

Ok I know you won't want to hear this but left royal Harwich 1930 tied up in Royal nth sea yacht club 1000 this am. Wind as forecast on wind guru got up to a 5 overnight and from 6am 5 gusting 6 til last couple of hours .
All fine except last 2 hrs when Thames issued a gale warning 0700. Any way arrived in sunshine and a few green ones over the side. Cup of tea then beer.
Just need to plan the return with no wind or lots again.

Glad that worked out. Rather breezy here now - Pin Mill to Lowestoft in less than 6 hours with the log regularly reading over 10 knots.

Thanks Simon,
A good trip. Must Admit felt a little odd us talking from our respective bows making way down river with no oneelse out at all. We had a yacht behind us heading to blankenburge and apart from commercial heavy stuff not a sausage until we arrive at Oostende with 38 mph registering when a whole squadron of sq riggers stream out of port for some day sailing!

On the contrary, very pleased to hear that you had a safe crossing. Hope you enjoy Ostend and have a good passage home.
