Where's the best place to park up if i have a blast over in Clymene to the boat show...
Been as i have never been to southampton before, never been across the channel before either, at least, not under my own steam....
Dont think sunseeker will be happy me borrowing a pontoon, although shes big enough to be a tender for their new stuff :)

Just moor up on the "try a boat pontoon" and i will make sure there is an orderly queue waiting ;)

Nearest marinas are , town quay , ocean village and across soton water there is hythe marina with a ferry crossing not far away .

Ocean Village (walk to show), Hythe Marina (ferry to show) or Swanwick Marina (park and ride to show).

Ocean village is on the Itchen River, Hythe accessed via a lock off Southampton Water and Swanwick is on the River Hamble.

As we are berthed in Swanwick, I am bound to say it would be my preference but I know others are just as happy with the other two marinas.

Thanks chaps, i will give it some thought...

I fancy going, as never been to a boat show yet.
Wether i blow the best part of 1000 on diesel or 30 for a flight im not sure yet :D
Hmmmm....

I am working on a free flight (professional development)....maybe a free BnB a la Clymene and I can get a pass for an overnight?? already been offered show tickets from a local broker.

19/20 are my days off, I could always join you for one of the legs depending on timings ??

Another suggestion, if you get a Transeurope marina card from the office in Jersey you will be entitled to half price berthing fees in Swanwick or Town Quays Marina for up to 5 nights each. Other ports on their website.
