We were told that last summer's bad weather was due to the jetstream being further South than usual. We've had some fantastic weather already this year on the West of Scotland and it looks the same for the rest of the week. Is the jetstream back to it's "normal" position?

In the Spring and early Summer the Met Office were predicting it would be 'normal' as you put it, i.e. further north than last year, for most of this summer. Seems they were right for a change.

You'll need to watch Ellen McArthur's round the island race on "Bang Goes The Theory", 7.30pm, BBC1, from 27th July ...

(blatant plug!)
