Thankfully the older HR's have normally been well maintained, all the solid stuff survives the bumps and scratches pretty well.
Off Finisterre I was very glad to be in an over engineered heavy when Neptune decided to chuck a few bathfulls of clear seawater at us and the waves got a little taller than the mast.
Had I been in the SO 37 I'd have been terrified and I'm sure summat would have broke!
Heavy boat motion is a lot more pleasant, not sure a new floor and a couple of hand holds would give us this?
