To be precise, 85 litres per square meter in 15 minutes!
Here are some of the results.

And worst of all, the roof of one of the marina bars.

In all, nine boats were sunk.I awoke at seven thirty when hearing continual thunder. Then I realized that it was not thunder but torrential rain. I decided to stay in bed until lunch time!

Or a bucket?

Terrible shame that, at least all is not lost and insurance should pay up /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

all is not lost

um well, all is fairly lost, boatwise? Especially from the insurers' point of view.

Still, your very positive attitude is obviously bombproof, or at least waterproof.

Re: all is not lost

If my boat sank I'd be gutted, but as long as it was covered on Insurance, which hopefully all these are I'd have to get over it like anyone else and use it as a new start... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Re: all is not lost

if I may add a question, do you think that the boats that are shown here not have sank if they had covers over them?

I ask because we have pretty torrential rain during the nights in SoF which I'm sure those that have visited in the summer will have experienced, and most of the boatowners leave their covers off whereas I put mine on incase...
