I just started using blogspot/blogger/that google bloggy thing or whatever you like to call it. On the plus side it looks pretty much like every other blog (actually a good thing if you've seen the custom html I normally write) and very "clean" with plenty of useful add-on features like a "translate this page" button ( I noticed that a lot of the hits on my old web site were being run through google translate). On the downside I find the documentation down to google's usual dire standards. OK for me, maybe less so for someone less good at guessing how it *should* work. The ads are optional and apparently they'll give you some cash from them if you choose to take them.

Good morning Folks,

We go full time livaboard from march 31st, and want to start a blog

Im okish with using a computer, so willing to give it a go with making a blog, so buddies at home can follow.
Im not into face book really to much, so think a blog will be fun,
Ive heard some blogs are free but a pain, and heard some have a small fee but easier to use.

Many thanks for any suggestions,

Colin

Hello!
Just seen your post. Good luck with your liveaboard life. We are now in our third year. Its fun to do a blog, helps you remember where you've been and what you've done. Remember to take lots of photos too.
I am useless at computers but I use Sailblogs. It has been very good. And easy to use. Have a look at their site. And click on a few blogs. Try searching for our boat, Fandancer.
Good luck!
