How do you stop your cap, bonnet, titfer blowing off your head at anything over 20 knots? I think the tally over the IoW trip was 4 lost.

My Panama Jack has a chin strap. It stays on at 120mph in my open Merc roadster.

Musto sell a baseball cap with a clip on the back that you can attach to your collar

Aha light come on

So all I need to do is attach two croc clips to a bit of string, what a simple idea :D

I could use one half of my set of jump leads :p

Now I'm sorry, you've got it all wrong. A good quality (must be marine grade S/S) 6" nail.......... Might be tricky to remove mind?? ;)

Ah but once it's in you could bend the end over to make a loop and tie the hat to is using the know of your choice.

The nail then could be used for other things when not wearing the hat like tying to the back of the chair to keep your head from nodding forwards, making SWMBO think you're still awake when she's having a nag. :o

Thats true - but does not answer the question which was "How do you stop your cap, bonnet, titfer blowing off your head at anything over 20 knots?"

The musto thing stops it flying away and getting wet :-)

Get an industrial strength staple gun and staple your hat to your head then. Otherwise, if you want to stop it being blown off, wear your baseball cap back to front. Works for me even if it horrifies my uber cool teenage son

Simple's good. I can wear my low slung baggy jeans to go with the backwards cap. Throw in some big bass speakers and I could be like the lad next door!

Respect dude

TO have YW caps with clips on the back to make you look cool but does not stay on your head at 20 knots, or you wear an elephant pooo hat tight which looks daft but stays on...expect to part with 40 quid plus for a decent one

This stylish fella's got the right idea: that one didn't ever come off even at 35 knots. Suitable for the hottest day and guarantees that you will be a success with the laydeez.

Go and buy the Musto cap with attachment - about £12! In addition your MOB technique needs improving. 9 x out of 10 you should be able to recover!!!

We recovered the first two but the third got mown down by a passing boat and never reappeared (probably flopping around attached to his prop.

The other two were lost from an accompanying boat so I can't comment on their mob skills

I can se a tilly coming into my life :)
