Way point surprise

Hi guys, I have just put a new chart into my Raymarine 435 plotter and its showing my old waypoints from the previous chart.......hows that then ? is it stored on a hard drive ? I will have to go through them all because they were put in manually then I discovered the chart was way out of date and a lot of things had moved and the waypoint were not in the best of places sometimes so now they could be a long way out.

Waypoints are stored in the plotter's memory rather than on the chart so the existing ones will need to be checked or possibly delete the lot and start again if they are that wrong.

Why not just use the edit function for the ones you want - will be much quicker than starting from scratch.
