Is this possible?

Does anyone have a pic of them skiing behind a boat of similar or greater size?

I've seen a guy waterskiing behind a ferry boat!
You can download the video clip from Kazaa.

Regards Dave

It is possible but not Easy. When I was younger and fitter I used to Mono Ski behind a Sunseeker Tomahawk 37 in Minorca, and it had very big petrols in it. The wake was huge, it felt like skiing on a gravel road and the pull out nearly left my body behind!

It was fun though. I even had a go at kneeboarding behind it and I still have the picture to prove.

As proof it is possible I am still alive...but I would not recommend it unless you are Mad as a Badger.

Good luck and let us know how you go on,

Cheers

Paul

There was a photo, in a recent MBM, of about 7 people skiing behind a Windy Bora 40 (I think it was part of one of the "owner's reports" series). The owner said that he wants to try it again next year - with 10 up. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

I think it's both! The person is no taller than 5 feet, the boat is 23 metres. Also the otherwise flat water exaggerates the wake, perhaps.

Scientific analysis just in after hours of extensive study. Towing an Action Man on skis behind a 5ft remote control boat at 9knts produces similar results. Back drop care of photoshop. Case solved

Re: And the back drop was where ??

I used to wakeboard behind Northern wave without any worries, I don't think it's the 'done thing' but the wake was fantastic and with the line attached to the radar arch I had a hell of a lift when I jumped!!

Can't wakeboard behind Moonmaiden as she only does 10 knots!! I've done it behind two of it's three tenders and we get a new Jetski next week that I'm told it's possible to ski behind too. (gloat gloat!!!)
