It seems to be leaking and has chafed a bit - anyone got any suggestions?

Udder cream from the vets very good for sailors 'nappy rash' and spotty bottom due to sitting around in the damp
Where is it chafing - more details required for a solution?

Chafing in the usual places - too much of a gent to give more details but will try the udder cream.

Any udder ideas? Well go to your local camping shop and get a tin of tent waterproofing liquid. (Not 'proof' liquid - thats much better in a glass!). It wont sort out leaks caused by damage, but it will seal seams and material very effectively.

Then there is always sugaring or imac , just be careful with the imac as it can spread, so you must not move when it has been applied!

I generally find pouring a gallon or two of creosote into my bilges at the start and end of the season eases the problem nicely. My lady companion has also tried it as an alternitive to sugaring with moderate but acceptable results. We always get stools at the yacht club bar too . . .

However would not reccomend electolysis unless you have a galvanic isolator.. not sure you can get 12V electrolysis kits either..

Our oldest mare - who was rugged, but out all the time, developed patches on her sides last winter, the area were ozzy and the fur came off, we used ( at the vet's advice) Sudocream which cleared it up staright away - we thought she may have lain where there were foxes.
