A bit larger and not water proof I know, but I bought a 15in flat screen for my boat from EBuyer ( not to be confused with Ebay) for £89:00.

£10:00 got me a mounting kit and Marine Super Store are doing a good price on Glomex aerials at (I think) £68.

So for £160 I got all the rubbish that I get at home !

I took a Glomex TV aerial apart to look inside...its pretty much an empty box with a floppy sort of PCB and a lot of gunge to stop it moving around....God knows how they can justify the price they sell for !

They don't work, will go wrong, will drain your batteries and interfere with your electronics....in short, don't get one!

Of course I'm no technical expert, I just say all that in the hope that you won't moor next to me in some quiet anchorage with your TV on (like a mobo did in Newtown, I really wanted to hear his choice of music in a National Trust harbour!) Don't you go sailing to get away from all that rubbish???? I know I do

With respect thats a bit hard....At their prices they must sell millions of units( most of them to people I know)...and you are bound to get a few problems.

My own experience is delivery with in 24hrs and zero hassle.

Away for the weekend on a little hop across the Solent maybe, although plenty of families with young children might not agree with you. Away for six months or longer it's a very different matter. Having some form of entertainment is a welcome change once in a while.
