Waterproof smartphone

Quite reasonably priced for UK
Lenovo(IBM Thinkpad) do some good ones in their homebase-China.
You can get them from Banggood for about £70.

That looks quite interesting, thanks, I have a motorola Defy which is water proof and has served well for more than 2 years but needs replacing and I was thinking of Sony Xperia V or Acro S both waterproof but with much better cameras, 12mp. hey don't look as shock resistant as this model.

I recently switched to a Sony Xperia Z1, great phone and waterproof, but they say "not saltwater". I have been looking for a similar armoured protective case to the one I bought for my iPhone 4 but they don't seem to be available for this phone. However the Sony has a larger and brighter display, better battery life and the more i use it the more I like Android. I have even bought it a navigation App for Christmas, can't wait to try it out afloat.

I've got a Lifeproof Fré on my iPhone 5...works well, but beware, there are lots of fakes out there!

My iPhone 4 lived in a Griffin Survivor case, great protective case but access to the charging socket was very awkward, always a struggle to get the rubber lid open. Just about made the phone bomb proof. And big, and with that case on the phone doesn't slip through your hands.
Wish they would bring one out for the Sony.

Got their catalogue on my desk - apparently this phone is in their "January sale" and should be at £69.95+VAT....might be worth phoning and quoting the January Sale catalogue rather than going through the web if you want it...

I hadn't noticed the difference between the on line catalogue price and the January sale price. I expect the price would appear differently on the price check out screen. nb. CPC have free delivery for on line orders.

Isn't anyone worried about it being made in China and possibly broadcasting your convos and texts all over the place?

Sorry. I'll get my coat...

Slowboat - I can, with all experience tell you this is a definite yes - I use an Overboard Phone case when Kayaking, and usually have my MP3 on, can easily swipe the screen and select with ease - Switching the Bl**** thing on with the side switch in the padded case is a pest though! ;)

No, not bragging. I tried one of those plastic bag things and found it was a bit of a pain, glad I invested in the Griffins though, looking at the scar on the Ipad one, I am glad it was in the case, whatever attacked it on the boat would have really done some expensive damage.
