Anybody know the best and cheapest place to buy a waterproof case to take electronic stuff on board with? I don't want a specific lap-top case as they are really expensive and also too small. They are loads cheaper on US sites than in UK but sadly then charge too much for delivery.

go to a diver shop, they will normally have access to "Pelican" cases which are what you want! They have foam inserts which are split into small squares, you remove the ones needed for the stuff going into the case, and leave the rest, and you get a case that will also protect the contents when banged around. I keep my underwater camera gear in one

Army surplus

Mine say "M16 grenades" and then a bunch of letters and numbers. Bought them at a army surplus store for a fiver each. Hard black plastic, totaly waterproof, lid on bottom and top.

Re: Army surplus

hmm, I had waterproof ammo boxes for holding various bits an pieces in the back of the van. The police take a dim view when they open up the back and see 6/7 boxes with various things written on them that look vaugely dangerous. Rubbed off the writing now. Makes life much easier!
