Hi everyone. I've finished reassembling my Sea Panther (only a top-end overhaul) and I now want to do a minumum setup for a short initial test run. Does this seem OK?
Oil in engine and gearbox (obviously)
Cooling water in closed circuit system
Fresh fuel + filter
Alternator mounted with drive belt (as water pump is driven off the belt)
I'm going to leave off the following:
Thermostat
Raw water impellor
To turn it over I'm just going to use jump leads direct from the batteries, negative to the block and positive to the starter terminal.
Does this seem OK? I only want to give it a brief run to check for any leaks or timing issues.
Thanks!
