Waterloo post work meet?

I will probably be in London that day, so are ladies invited? I can buy my round, (Cornish, not Scottish extraction). If so where exactly is the What Ever pub you plan to meet? Waterloo is the station I leave from, so can be there around 5 pm-ish.

PS will you be easy to recognise? I don't fancy asking all the men in the pub if they are Jimi or Chris Enstone or whoever else will be there.
Or should I just head for the noisiest spot?

Raggies Pub Voyage

1. Discuss possible meeting at pub. Look up lots of alternatives, but eventually agree to go to the pub originally suggested by anyone with a scottish accent cos they sound very expert, somehow.

2. Field lots of forum questions like "what pub is it?" and "is it a nice pub? "and "can i come too?" and "oh dear, is it ok if i drop out from going to the pub?" and "tell you what, i might make it but i might not, is that okay?"

3. plot course to pub, with lots of alternatives.

4. Eventually arrive at pub which by now should be heaving with others, but find only the original two are there after all. But it's still okay.

Yep, Kings Head, from 5-ish tomorrow. I'm coming back up from Wales back according to the train times should be there 5-5:30. You can't miss me I'll be carrying a load of charts for young jimi.

You might have finished the mothers ruin but the beer will still be there. I will of course be sporting a bobblehat, ancient wooly sweater, corduroy trousers, brogues, pipe and beard.

unfortunately the huge wallet is having significant technical teething problems - the poxy hydraulics have failed so it is jammed shut! Anway I won't be able to get it along there especially bearing mind that the tiny little pub is on a one-way street. Also, i suppose all the raggies will have jammed the street with their Tall Stories and and Very Big Plans ...

No, i just daren't!

I went down to the boatyard last week and it takes ages to buy a sandwich cos everyone in the queue seems to run a slate and it all has to be written down in The Book, so i felt a bit conspicuous as I produced the actual cash (£1.53) for a sandwich and cup of tea...

Excellent evening and equally excellent company. Great to meet you all. Suspect there may be a couple of hangovers today but pleased to report that I appear to have avoided one, more by luck than judgement though. Look forward to doing it again sometime.
