I didn't say going slowly was the problem did I. The problem is going round in circles and only being able to turn in one direction unless you are content with a turning circle 2 miles wide. There was also lots of traffic coming the other way who were pretty determined to get their own way and they would have been expecting us to give way when we couldn't.
