Having been quoted over £500 for a triangular water tank from TecTank, I did a bit of searching and came across a small firm who make to order, any size or shape in marine grade stainless.
Exact same tank from them is £200!!!, but not in tatty plastic!

Jay Wolfe Metalwork is the place .

Having had my s/s water tanks leak at the welds, and had to repair them with various formulations of gunk, I would always specify plastic for a new one. If only I could get the old ones out without removing the deck first!

We have had the same problem with our S/S 40 gallon water tank under the saloon floor - it is 15 years old now, and it started leaking in way of the welds a few years ago.

I took it out, brought it home, filled it up and put about 6' of water head on it - and all the welds were spouting like seives!

Identified all the leaks, took it to a welding workshop, asked them to re-weld all the circled areas, they did so, took it home, filled it up, still leaking furiously from other leaks.....

Asked the WW to re-do all the welds continuously - they did a fine job. No leaks. Until now. Tank leaking again. S/S in way of welds seems to be going porous now. Oh dear.

Have made a decision now to take tank out and scrap it, after first using it for templates re building a new tank from fibreglass panels. Would like to have a welded plastic tank, but probably too much hassle trying to get one made in Trinidad - but I will investigate this option first, to see what the costs are like.

I am in complete agreement with the guru Nigel Calder, when he says he would never have metal (ally or S/S) fuel or water tanks on his boats again. GRP or plastic is the way to go.
