I know this has been mentioned before. But the alternative to a sender is a water meter. Very easy to fit, no drilling the tank and far more accurate. Ours measures in litres so I know our tank is 780 litre capacity. The whole lot cost my £46. You buy a domestic water meter with a pulse output of one pulse per litre. These are about £40 off EBay. The pulse counters were £6 last time I bought one. Two wire connection and a battery in pulse counter that lasts for years. Simply fill your tank and set pulse counter to zero. First time you use it run tank to empty. You then know tank capacity. Next time you know exactly where you are. Easy. You also know how many litres your crew are using having a shower!

The sender in my flexible tank has packed up and I hesitate to remove it. If I do not find an exact replacement I am worried that the tank will no longer be watertight.
