Started a new thread as I want a specific answer:
Boat is 50ft. 2 proper showers, three sinks, transom shower and dishwasher
Currently have 50l/min impellor pump with 2 litre accumulator tank
Want to reduce noise as much as possible. Recommendations from those that sell pumps are varied.
Options on the table are:
Replace with another Garleschelli Indomini 1B Ecojet for $800+IVA
Replace with a Twin membrane pump with accumulator, twin pump has the advantage that you use one pump for light use and it steps up for heavy use with pump 2
Options are this one Xylem CW435 at £515 ex VAT and has a flow rate of 32l/min or this one Aquajet Pump Duo which is £674.06 + VAT but has a higher flow rate of 40l/min.
The other oprion is a more basic Jabsco Vflow constant pressure pump which is electronically controlled and doesn't require an accumulator tank. £292+vat for these but only 18l/min flow rate
What I dont know is what flow rate do I actually need? I assume the boat is currently set up to have everything running all at once with some reserve. I admit the 18l/min of the constant pressure pump seems low compared to what we have. In reality we have never run both showers at once, though the dishwasher is an addition.
The other thing is noise - is a membrane pump (or whatever they are called) which are all options apart from the original quieter than the impeller pump? My partner is super noise sensitive so if we can get as quiet as possible that would be good.
Budget also a consideration, but I do want something that works. Please if you have experience Im after advice.
