much discussion has taken place in the past over the use of these items but little mention has been made of suitable models and their source.
given the forthcoming re enactment of Trafalgar scheduled for Studland Bay (bit shallow for Nelson surely?) this coming weekend I (and others) are anxious to ensure that we are well equipped - especially as Happy may be there and is sure to have a veritable arsenal; all aquired at rock bottom prices!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I would advise a Water Cannon.. (but don't blame me if you sink someone) don't think they used pistols at Trafalgar.. you could always use a pressure washer. .. or even better fit your bilge pump to the exit of the heads, see if Jimi has discovered another holding tank and pump that out with the pressure washer

... If worst comes to worst and you are borded do some swashbuckling with a blunderbuss.. and don't forget the belaying pins.

The Gadget shop has a HUGE water pistol, I've never seen one so big and I've seen a lot. You are guarenteed to be the envy of every man with a much smaller....water pistol if you get that one.

Best range is at Toys'R'Us

I found a brilliant 5 nozzler there - nozzles are in a horizontal fan. Pull the trigger a little, and one nozzle fires, a bit more and three, and all the way and 5 go with a 60 deg spread.

With all 5 going continually and hosed around you cannot miss, but the tank, though large, doesn't last long, so judicious use of single nozzle tactical shots is best. 5 nozzle 'mutual assured destruction' is reserved for when heavily outgunned.

Go for one of the 'constant pressure' variety.

thanks for the info -
(1) where's the Gadget shop and is this bigger and better than the Toy'sR'Us biggy?
(2) pressure washer worries me as I suspect that Happy will run one direct from his generator and an unpressured/unlimited sea water feed.
(3) is a shield considered (a) sporting and (b) necessary?
(4) finally this all seems to much fun for children - is an age limit recommended?

The mission is being planned at this moment, the armourer is very busy, the tactical planners are discussing stealth, speed, and tactics for all sizes of enemy vessels. Super soaker bow canons may also be used to complete this 'shock and awe' mission /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I think there will be some definately drinking 'watered down beer' /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

(1) Gadget Shops in many towns/cities. I know there's one in Reading, but haven't seen this monster water pistol there.
(2) suggest manually pumped only weapons as being most sporting
(3) shields def unsporting
(4) drinking age and over!!, with handicap system for us oldsters

I have just spoken to my armourer and he will definately NOT agree to No 2, but suggests a sporting weapon delivery limit of 506 gallons a minute /forums/images/icons/wink.gif . There is plenty of time for each party to look at alternatives and prepare VERY strong defences /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

If 2) not acceptable, then ramming and boarding parties allowed..this automatically removes children on board from the picture /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
