I did a Radlyme flush on both KAD43’s in March and have only just gone out this week to the boat.
Noticed after todays 2 hr run about 3” of water under both engines.
I will look tomorrow but where would be the lightly source?
Never had a leak before so Radlyme being the cause is most lightly I guess.
ps water is clean so not coolant.

End cap seal on the heat exchanger. Happened to me anyway

Is it an easy job ie assess.
Ill look tomorrow but forgive the daft question, Is there a cap on each end?
when you detach the end cap do you loose coolent
No….just one end by the exhaust elbow.

it isa bit hard to see. Easier with the air box out the way

it’s got 2 hoses going into it. If you can…run the engine and see if it’s dripping out the bottom.

Thanks Mr Googler
Tomorrows job to investigate and we are leaving Monday so at least if I’m certain of what I have to do when I return in September It’s no so bad.
Oh yes and my bit about coolent, Is there just some residual or does it pour out?

Sorry….no…the end cap is just sea water side

Inspection today and good news.
Because it usually is, the worst you can imagine normally is.
In todays case, ran the engines no leaks…….?
Tasted the water……it was fresh.
We had some kids on the boat yesterday and I think they put the deck shower away still running a little. The water will run for me straight into the engine well. (2 buckets full)
Sorry Mr Googler for setting you on a trail without looking (tasting) first but I’m sure some others will have learnt something from your detailed reply.
Cheers
