As we always fill from treated supplies, we just use a 15mm Aquasource filter after the pump which filters tastes but not bacteria to all taps. https://www.caravanaccessoryshop.co.uk/product/whale-aquasource-filter-15mm/1316

Doulton. We use the ultracarb filters/candles, with the ecofast mounting. I bought through Andrews Water Treatment, who were very helpful. Lots of cloudy water in Greece last year and tanks had a fair bit of silt at the bottom. Probably the result of severe storms and then medicane. Torrential rain brought a lot of sediment. The boatyard's water also contained a lot of sediment in spring.
I bought one of these (from a different supplier) just to keep out sediment.

It is working well so far and I bought a re-usable cartridge which I reverse to clean. Whole lot was under £20 so worth trying if you only want to remove sediment. Only mistake was to buy the 1/2" BSP version as 3/4" BSP hose adapters were much cheaper and easier to find.

We have found this an excellent solution on our last two boats.
Makes a real difference to taste and, if the specification and sales claims are correct, makes problematic water drinkable.
Not the cheapest solution but the filters last well. We added the filter to the galley cold feed and the filter lasted well over 18 months.
This is the kit I used.
Only thing to watch is making sure you order the correct replacement filters. Double check the part numbers.

Cheap double 10” filter housing, £25 and one 5 micron filter and one 0.5 micron carbon filter, £15 . change filters every year. I’ve got an extra tap in the galley which works off a small whale foot pump. Lovely drinking water direct from the tap . Never buy bottled water again.
