Water, bug and even some diesel in my tanks. Got to do something soon

Sometimes the generosity of the people I meet in the boating world actually restores my faith in humanity.
Many thanks to Rotax for the long term loan of his rather swish fuel polishing rig. I wish him and his racy wife Bon Voyage.

So the plan is now to use a Pela pump to take out as much water as possible ( to save the filters and speed up the process), then use the polishing rig to clear the crud and bugs from the remaining fuel. Then a biocide regime to clear the bugs.

Thanks guys, some great information. I will be doing the same job this weekend, with a bit of luck I have attached a photo of my fuel pick up from the tank. 24 years of grot to clean out, it's no wonder that the engine was having trouble!
