Watchet Marina Silt

Exactly as above, the harbour didnt silt as much before the marina because the water came in, then went out... it didnt hang around long enough for the silt to fall to the bed, as long as the waters being held its gonna silt up, peeps need to accept it for what it is, there is never gonna be the money to get it like it was when it opened, simply will never happen!! Any boat can sit in that mud without problems, just shut your cocks. Simple as that.. if you like goin there just go.. lifes too short.

I read earlier today that the water pressure dredger from Cardiff marine is heading over to help clear some space.

They have now put their dredger back in the water good news. So I thing the cut and suck will do the berths and the water inject will clear under the pontoons with luck.
To stop the mud slipping back into the berths.

No Allan it did not work out too many break downs,
BCYA told not to bother with their Aug meet because of mud

First i've heard about it. At BCYA rally last weekend in Cardiff we clearly all planned to convene again in Watchet later this summer. We were there earlier this year and it was fine for early departure of a shallowish draft boat. Its only runny mud.
