I have just been in the marina office and they mentioned that they are holding a party for all boat owners - both berth holders and visitors, on the evening of Saturday 15th August - 7pm until midnight. Apparently last year was a success but this year they want to do a shorter but more 'full on' event!
As such they are having a hog roast, live entertainment (2 - 3 acts) bar and other things like a bouncy castle jousting game thing and other amusements (for the kids but I am sure plenty of adults might feel the desire to participate, especially after a few drinks!)

Anyway I think it is going to be free to berth holders and visiting boats, and they are going to try and do a berthing deal for boats staying for 3 days or more. They said the only charge will be the bar and this will only be a nominal cost.
So it sounds like a fun evening - I'm going to go if I can, but they did they say they need as many advance bookings as poss so as to make sure they have enough food to round. (and this is important I think!!)
