To be fair they have been there over three years and they aint exactly tidy (some of them)

I reckon it's nearer 6 years for some of them.

Thank god they're doing something, but as I feared it looks like the outcome will bugger it up for everybody else. (Watch this space for mooring fees)

This is my thinking. How many "innocent" people will pick up criminal records for mooring up in the wrong place?
Though, I'd like to think there'll be a great deal of leeway involved.

not sure if it was just luck, but on our recent cruise upstream, the Tesco's moorings in Reading, where pretty empty both times we passed. In previous years, you would be lucky to find a gap to pull into if you wanted to stock up on supplies.

Not sure if this was as a result of any action by the EA or local council.
