So that payment can get to you intime....we could arrange meeting maybe after this transaction...
Yeah right as if he is getting any details off me. The tone is getting stroppy though. I wonder how long I can milk it. I send back the following.
Paris, I know it well. I travel there on a regular basis with work and will be over in a couple of weeks. We could meet up and I could show you more pictures and you could read the surveyors report. How were you thinking of shipping the boat over?

Actually I don't go to paris very often but he will not know that. His reply was...
i need this boat next week...it a surprice package i have for my wife so i need you to get back to me now and we could arrange something later...we could even do business together sometime...
Wow... I wish SWMBO would buy me a new boat as a "surprice" package. As for business I'll bet my dog that as soon as he received some money he would vanish off the face of the earth. I'll try a Bryan Adams reference and see if he notices...
That would be a nice surprise for her! My wife and I have always wanted a boat since back in the summer of '69. You wouldn't be able to get her to france for next week - I know the marina is booked up for lift-outs for the next two weeks. You would then have to arrange a lorry (the boat is too big for car and trailer). Have you considered simply sailing her over the channel?
I have made arrangment for the boat my shipper will come pick it ...
Ok, I'll try the money aspect.
Who is the shipping company? I mean £35,005 is a lot of money to transport a boat to france. I could give you the numbers of a couple of local transport companies here who will be much cheaper? Most of them will accept cheques or credit cards so you could pay them directly.
