so i have the boat, moored up at the marina, its cold. so do i hook up to the shore power or run the generator ? for heat i mean.
then time for tea..electric cooker. generator or shore ?
sorry to sound so dim but a whole new experiance and looking foward to discovering.
with a little help from my "new" friends.

Usually cheaper and a LOT less noisy to hook up to shore power. A generator will make you decidely unpopular with any liveaboard neighbours -- save it for when you're on a mooring.
