Hello there!

I want to replace the perspex washboard on my boat with teak washboard. However, I cannot find anywhere a stainless steel hatchlocker. I'm looking for the barrel type which rotates a catch 90 degrees.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
JW

I've got one of those - in a perspex washboard that got kicked in by a burglar. I've replaced it with a loop on the coachroof to take a padlock that stops people sliding the hatch back which I think is a better system.

I could post it unless you are near Christchurch.

For 1.99 the maplin ones are fine - you can fit 2 even, and at that price change then when ever needed,

Some sources suggest fitting the New York type rimlock. It would certainly be possible to lock either from the outside or the inside with one of these, which might be convenient in some circumstances - perhaps not too necessary in England though.
