factually incorrect, the Liner was quirte clean cos it was brand new.

I have played on the same cricket team as Tom Andrew's (the architect of the Titanic) brother, Willie. I have also crewed for his great nephew, Tom, who was the British Flying Fifteen champion although not in competition where the crew was his wife.

I also used to race against Tom and Dianne and still race their son in the River class.

There is a theory that the two ships were swapped in the yard when the Olympic came in for repairs and the Titanic was launched as the Olympic. What they fail to mention was that the Titanic was painted black and the Olympic grey. Grey was better for publicity shots apparently. Try repainting two ships different colours overnight, and without anyone noticing the next morning!
