Sailing past Potton Point this morning I was convinced I saw a wolf!
A large pale grey & black dog, about Alasation size with a bushy tail.
It was walking across the saltings and the birds were very upset by it.
Stop drinking or go to Specsavers?

Dogs are wolves. They differ at most 0.2 percent from wild wolves.
That may be true but there's a world of difference in behaviour. I often stroke peoples dogs in the park but wouldn't try it with a wolf
I was camping with my son in Australia and got up early to start cooking breakfast. I became aware of being watched and turned round to see a dingo standing a few feet behind me. The look in her eyes made it clear that she was wondering if I was tasty. I thought I would scare her away, so waved my arms, she didn't flinch an inch, just turned round, took a dump and walked slowly away.
"that's what I think of you"

My guess would be a Siberian Husky. A very 'wolf' look. (Stunning dogs). Just don't let one off its lead. They like to run.... and run........and run........!

I would be wary of stroking other peoples dogs, you can never be quite certain they won't have a nip.

This brings to mind an incident at RAF Wildenrath. AOC's inspection. He was inspecting the guardroom and the RAF police dogs were neatly lined up with their handlers. The AOC went to put out a hand to pat one. "I wouldn't do that Sir" said the handler, "Dogs like me" he replied. His next port of call was the Sick Quarters where I put a few stitches in his hand. :D

This reminds me of a story on BBC Look East recently of woman who saw a lion in Jaywick - The Police came, the Zoo man came, the RSPCA came - it turned out to be a big pussy cat from an old peoples home
