Just made a offer for a boat a bene 351 The asking price is 38 k i offered 30 k
Its abroad with no vat paid
what do you think ?

So in reality (after you have paid the VAT), you will have paid £35,250. A broker I am dealing with keeps telling me that 10% off an asking price should be acceptable. ie £34,200 incl VAT, so no, you offered too much.

Concurred. You could have a larger Benny 390 for under 30k, nicer location too.

Might be a bit obvious but start REALLY low. You can only go up from there. We put in a stupid offer on our boat of 75% of the asking price - and he accepted.
