Warning for travel in France

Advice on (English-speaking) Riviera Radio prime tome this morning. Fill your car up asap -- and then are every opportunity to put in an additional 10 (ten) litres. GROAN.

Well that was Rob, so you can understand what he is saying, unlike Cassandra! God she drives me up the wall.

Just back from lunch at Cap D'Ail and the weather is epic, if not a tad windy.

Here in the Charente Maritime it is a bit hit & miss. Local Carrefour has a bit of diesel, but no petrol. Local Intermarché has diesel and 95E10 petrol, no 98. Yesterday, CF had no diesel.
While tootling over to Confolens, on Monday. One place had no diesel, other one had no petrol.
France has to get a grip in it's Unions, but, no chance any time soon. The CGT are gagging for a fight to prove they are in control of the Gov. A freshly elected top guy does not help, as he needs to prove something.

Just an update for others concerned about fuel in France
Have just crossed the border into Spain on our way to Portugal (great to fill up at Spanisn 1.05 euros /l) No problems coming down the west side of France by motorway all fuels available and no queues all the way down.
I'm wondering if the strike will need to be escallated to have some effect.
