Re: A week ago

I think my wife has just successfully negotiated 'chores' this weekend - Poole from Wednesday next week(half term) to the Sunday.
Now the advantage of next Saturday is that the tides will be at the same time as last....and we (I) would be stuck at the Quay until about 1815 again ------- how about Poole Quay next Saturday instead - or even Christchurch?

Aw, Duncan!!!

I was frantically trying to get my mobile to work to get Aztec to take a bow on the 200th post.

You beat him to it!!

...but then I suppose you were the only one to fall into his boat. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: A week ago

went to an engineering firm i used to use, bloke that owned it i knew really well, now his son runs the place. the upshot is that asked boy 'bout dad, who now still works upstairs, making misile bits. up i go, knocks really quietly...like ya do! and starts to chat 'bout old times.

so now i work for the fire service, he needs some buttons for his grandsons dressing up clothes... firemans outfit... so there you go... i have an old set of buttons (please don't ask why i kept them)... he has bits of my boat.. hence deal done. loads of people laughing,.. alas...tey knew it would have to happen one day!

next plan involves doing a deal involving a certain food stuff normally associated with monkeys!! so there ya are.

Re: A week ago

By next weekend you mean 2nd/3rd do you? Unfortunatly I've been lumbered with taking family to see fireworks at Alton Towers that weekend. That's why I'm keen to get out this weekend, also this Saturday last day before clocks go back.

Might be able to make Friday (1st Nov), next week, or poss. Wednesday (30th Oct). Gonna have same problem with tides at Christchurch, even more so, aren't we?

Re: Aw, Duncan!!!

nah, don't worry. iv'e been trying not to post as some are getting "funny" about the length of the thread, but now it's gone over 200, i think we should just adopt the bloody thing as our own forum... now i'm in the poo! think going back to the icq thing, say once a week would be a good idea, what do you think??

Re: A week ago

I will be down from Wednesday - give me a call if you are thinking of doing anything at the time.
I don't have 'problems' with tides - only a problem getting stuck at the Quay Inn Whareham for another session!!!!!!

lol

Re: A week ago

Thats not a problem, thats a well thought out passage plan!

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

Re: A week ago

I've just reread your last post. Quote "I think my wife has just successfully negotiated 'chores' this weekend ". So in other words, you pushed her to the limit last weekend and overstepped the mark. So now your paying for it. Now where have I heard this before........Yes dear.....coming dear......!

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

You sure did. Yep and another on the way. Poole Quay this time on 14th December, see the other mega post for details. Basically all welcome, by boat if practical, or by road if not.
