I need a Boat Haulage Company to move a 23ft Yacht from Pwllheli to Glasson Dock.
I believe there was one in Portmadoc but closed down.
It weighs 3.3 ton and needs to go on Low Loader.
Any recommendations gratefully received.

Try Sealand-based in Bury they are well placed for a NW delivery.I used them to move my boat from Fleetwood up to the Clyde back in the 1990s and a second time when they had a pick up in Inverness and took my boat up there from Rothesay on their up run.

Hi Jim

If you are not in a hurry try here ask for Doug and does he have any 'Back Loads' (much cheaper) http://boatsbyroad.com/

By the way your CW will more likely to be 4.3tons

Mike

I would second the recommendation for Doug at Beverley Boat transport, he shifted Sorcerer from the Gareloch to Plymouth and couldn't have been more helpful and certainly a very fair price.

7 replies and no-one has said sail it around yet. It's a yacht, that's what they do.

Sometimes you just don't want to do that, I am a very keen sailor but if you had seen the problems I faced with the boat and the prospect of a long delivery sail in mid winter you may also have considered putting it on a lorry.

We have used a few companies over the years but we have just used Dean at midland transport he was very very good ,he kept in touch with us all the way from first booking ,he even contacted the the lift out, drop in companies to get everything in sync ,nice new low loader, fully kitted out ours is 3.5 ton he brought her the full length of the country and arrived to the minute he said he would better than that his price was far better than all other quotes we had , cheap is not always cheerfull just sometimes it can be professional as well ,
No ties to the company he came recommended just a very impressed customer 002.jpg
