Why do you want petrol engines?

Hi Moose,

Looking to use it on the coast mostly but not often, would like the boat to reach 25-30 knots as stock so I think twin petrols would be the answer unless I consider turbo D's which I have never seen in a sun/speedfury...any thoughts?

There were a few Sunfurys (also Carrera 24's) made with 2 x AQAD31 diesels. Should be good for 25-27 knots, I guess. Worth seeking out diesel engined boats for a variety of reasons which have been discussed on this forum ad nauseam (try the Search function)

Avoid AQ171's like the plague altho quicker they are v,tempremental (IMHE)... also 16-17 galls / hr at full chat!!!!!!!

145's more reliable, but will still drink unleaded

They did some with 31 diesels , but heavy engines and will be a few years old now.
There was one with diesels for sale at Dartmouth last year but owner/broker was a bit hopeful on price. Broker next to Royal Dart Hotel.

Hull and accomodation wonderful and a very practical boat. I know, mine gets used most weekends.
PM me for details and advice on Sunfurys
