When i had my children aboard we would have hated a journalist wanting us to "act" for the camera
Just rent a boat & hire actors it would make a better program.
The other point ive met quite a few with their children on board from Australia or Norway & other's from places between & none had or wanted a TV!!
We bought a camcorder the footage from day to day life is boring even today!Other than our trips around ports like Grimaud which was fun to watch at sea the children mostly read eat or sleep as the boat rises & falls
Despite the witty cynicism (where would we be without it! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) there are some of us families out there doing this. We were away with primary age kids in 2003-4 and met several other families along the way. Kids now back in secondary school and sailing confined to long summer holidays - managed 3 months in Croatia, Venice and Greece last year.
Most of those currently doing the sailing will spend little time on here though I'd guess.
Not sure I would have wanted a camera following us, but would provide good footage rather than our crappy DIY camcorder momentos. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Don't give up Viv, someone on here will know someone who might be interested.
Well, 13 years ago I returned from a nine year circumnavigation with my parents - a lot of it was documented with a camcorder, but I have to say that most of it makes pretty boring viewing for anyone not incredibly invested in watching it!
Also, although I think it's an admirable idea, I'm not sure how viable actually sailing with young children and a camera crew would be - the only time exciting things happen is when the camera crew would either be helping out, or getting in the way!!
But good luck, anyway! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
