I rebuilt my instrument panel last winter and used a piezo-buzzer (from Maplins, the loudest one they had) that was described as being very loud. For waterproofing reasons it has to be mounted behind the panel inside the instrument box and consequently it's just not loud enough. With the engine running you can hear it if you're listening for it, but it doesn't really make it's presence felt if you know what I mean.
I do have an oil pressure and water temperature gauge but I'm not always watching those of course. So does anyone know where I can get a really LOUD 12v buzzer from? For space reasons it can't be more than about 2 inches on each side and you need to be able to hear it from behind a 5mm thick acrylic panel.
