To celebrate the summer solstice on Sat 23 Jun at 1600 the Walton & Frinton Yacht Club are setting fire to a pig! Cost £5 per person.
On Sat 23rd Walton high tide is at 1457.
If you pick up a buoy in the Walton Channel a 3.89mtr tide should allow access to the club by dinghy from about 1200 until 1800.
Should you decide to make a weekend of it & overnight AFLOAT in The Pond, on Saturday ‘the cat flap’ will be open from the time they get the level (about 1350) until 1500. On Sunday ‘the cat flap’ will be open from about 1430 until 1530.
If you want to visit The Pond please ring Richard on 01 255 675 873 & go to http://marinas.com/view/marina/6637 which will give you a good over-view of Foundry Reach from Spit Buoy to The Pond.
Foundry Reach is narrow but very well buoyed – as a Harwich Tug recently confirmed – but another story!
Of course you could always come by car.
