Wally gets back into his RIB after a swim.

The RWYC went en masse to the Scilly's earlier this year, Although they were delighted to see him he was a dangerous menace puncturing at least one tender and chipping gelcoat swim platforms with his tusks which he uses to climb on board. A few yachts without integrated platforms had to sacrifice their tenders to prevent him climbing on and ripping them out sinking their vessel. On the whole a privilege to see but a danger to boats. Loads of videos but within the Sailing and Cruising Wales FB group.

I would be worried if he used his tusks to pull himself on my rib?
San Francisco is a great place for watching them do that, it’s when all his mates come aboard that’s the problem

let alone if he tried to use the passarelle! He’d pull the transom out and you’d be done!

Can I just say for the record, that my passerelle is anchored to the ribs of the boat and it merely floats on the transom. And I welcome Wally?

Facts should never get in the way of a good piss take so I am “consciously uncoupling“ from this information

Mty problem the first half of the year was finding 7 dead cormorants in my Riibcraft., Looked like a crime scene. The speculation is that they were brought on board (moored in Tomales Bay, CA) by River Otters.
