David2452 is based in E London, and charges for travel. Best wait until you arrive in St Kats to manage the bill more efficiently. Good guy.

Who woke me up what model is it and what are the symptoms, may be able to suggest a zero cost option. Though my business is in South Doch our boat is in Shotley so I am up that way regularly.

thank you david. it is safe flame 87. the hob works perfectly but the oven failed during startup displaying error code 6. we are at fox's until friday afternoon before heading to london

Error code 6 is flame out, and the recommendation is to check the fuel supply. Have you a separate tank or do you pull from boat supply? Manuals are available via wallas.fi... By the way I think you have a 97 not an 87, as the newer 87 doesn't have a LCD display

Thanks Gladys. the fuel comes from the main tank but the hob works very well and there is only 1 fuel line that I can see. fuel get to the hob well so I do not understand error code for oven. ...?

Each unit (hob and oven) have separate fuel pumps and combustion mechanism... It sounds like it may be a fuel pump fault. One piece of advice, don't carry on trying to start it after two goes... If there's a different issue the combustion chamber gets loaded with fuel and that means black smoke and all sorts of things.

Error code 6 is actually failure to reach temperature which can mean either it's not igniting at all or igniting but not establishing a good flame. Possible culprits are, fuel pump o0r its power supply, glow plug, blocked fuel nozzle or sometimes the fuel connection at the back needs a little nip up as it draws air with the fuel but that is most common on recent installs.
