When I bought this dinghy as new, I read somewhere in all the 'guff' something about a difficulty in repairing with one of the fibreglass resins.

Thinking they're moulded plastic, so epoxy won't stick so well. Maybe hot weld repair like they do car bumpers?

I saw one with a crack right through the gunwhale the other day and knowing the incompatibility problem I thought that one could try it with a hardwood inside and outside sandwich to reinforce the gunwhale.
