I have three spinners for my Walker towed log and the line is frayed on them all. How on Earth does the tip undo so that I can replace the frayed bit?

The frayed line is right at the spinner so I can only replace the line. I cannot see how to split the item and get new line attached.

Thanks

Dear Frank
You will notice that the spinner spins widdershins (viewed from aft) in operation. In the light of that, clever Mr Walker put a left-hand thread on the cone section on the front so that it doesn't unwind in use. Turn the cone section clockwise and it will unscrew!!

See you on Thursday.

Cheers
K

Any of you Walker owners have a spare deck mounting shoe please? port side only - forgot to remove it when selling previous boat!!!

There were no takers when I offered a pair a short time ago on this forum, so they are still available in return for a small donation to the RNLI.

They will not be available until the end of Oct when the boat comes in for the winter. They have lost their shine (I am replacing them with new ones).

PM me if you are interested, stating whether you want the Port or Starboard fitting

Walker Knotmaster Log - Manual

Although, amazingly, the manual doesn't cover the question of how the string attaches to the torpedo, the rest of the gubbins is covered in the manual whose four pages are downloadable;

You mention that you are getting new ones - can you please tell me where from? I've just bought a Knotmaster on eBay, and it has no deck mounting shoes. Many thanks

Re: Walker Knotmaster Log - Manual

Yes it does - at the end of page 2!
