Walker Bay Genesis Ribs?

Nothing like the quick pop out that 250hp would give you.
On a 3.4m Walker Bay?!?
You aren't tcm stealing jfm account, by chance?
Otoh, if you're talking of proper skiboats, actually 250hp is nowadays shabby.
The beauty below is available with a 400+ hp block frinstance.
I'm not a megayachts fan, but I must admit that a tender like this is something I wouldn't mind having onboard! :D

PS: talking of deepwater start with a monoski, the one shown at 2:25 is worth a look!

Talking of tenders, this pic is from mby's genoa show gallery. Looks like you have to build the tender each time you want to use it. What a mess!

Well, if someone buys a boat in that cream/sandy colour they're a bit odd anyway!! :)

Planing with two onboard requires 10Hp 2 stroke (yes you can still get them Merc, Mariner or Yamaha)QUOTE]

Hi there RR,

Do you mean by this that 2 strokes are still available,?

I have a 3.2 Loadstar.For some reason I thought it was bigger,but I checked it as 3.2.
Had a merc 15 2 stroke, until it was nicked.Blinding boat with the 15hp. planes easily 5 up, boat light enough for 2 to lift, just.
I am using a rather agricultural suzuki 4hp 4 stroke at the moment and it is as heavy to handle as the 2 stroke merc and will never plane.

I just wish I could get a new 2 stroke, or some clever bod, invent a 4 stroke that weighs same as a 2 stroke..

It does look a bit.... unconventional, but it may look worse if it were to over hang the side by a couple of foot. Its quite a long tender for the size of boat.It would be nice to big tender on a small boat.
I like the idea of removing the front.Who would nick a tender with it missing. If the manufacturer were to be careful about supplying that part,it would render the thing worthless to a thief.

Not a fan of the folding tubes though. As it is, I agree, it is messy, but with fixed tubes you could end up with quite a large tender on a relatively small boat.

Just be aware of the weight differences.

Console 310DLX - 101KG
340FTD - 62KG
270FTL - 50KG

A 340FTD with 20HP Honda weighs 108.5KG (dry) which is light enough for 2 to drag up a beach, provide bags of space and enough speed. All IMHO of course.

Me again, the maniac above! :D
I know it was supposed to be tuppence worth but here's your change too.

Forget the steering wheel, it'll ruin the boat for 5 mins of fun. most peeps that have a console in the smaller dinghies regret it.

btw. Don't let fender bitches drive either! ;)

It's just not needed and it makes for heavy as Mag's has just shown you. You'll carry less people in a 310 with a console than a 270 without! :(

I just got a 310 FT Deluxe. After using it 3 days discovered the white floorboards are a terrible idea and do not come clean. They are made out of a durable but soft plastic and they absorb dirt and grime from walks on shore. Dont expect to hose it down or brush it down. The company has advised me to use WD 40 (doesnt really work and is slippery) or to "wet sand" the floorboards. Had I known it would be this much trouble, I would have gone with something else. These are expensive and have alot of good ideas incorporated, but they really goofed on the floors.
