Wales Reopening!

My back is killing me. Mounted 4 outdrives today and removed two. Same boat mind, do NOT friggin ask. And 2 a couple days ago. It's bending over under a swim platform and lifting them up that does it. How the marine engineers manage it full time is beyond me. Then my partner in crime tossed my boat and car keys in the tool box and I locked them into the boat where I also keep my spares. It wasnt a great day

knock up some frames once the boat is on the blocks.
perfect height then to slide back on. One time use of course height wise.

if I was pro.....I’d build proper ones with wheels and height adjustable

I find it easier to rock them in. Block to approximate height. Lift locate the UJ, rock the forward UJ and push. Rock some more till H frame pins pop in. Done in under 2 minutes but it kills me. When I've tried to use a frame or a trolley it can take an hour or more getting everything parallel for the splines to locate and slide. Rocking it kills me but it works

I made a thing to do that out of wood and dexion ( strange ) But basically something adjustable on wheels. It worked very well for the 12 years I used it , I still have it

It was astonishing how much out of alignment the factory set engine and outdrive. /gimbal bearing were on our last boat. We had to adjust the engine mountings, which of course were rusty and seized, All sorted, any subsequent owners should have no problems adjusting them,

Strangely, I can believe that excuse. What did you get and how do you plan on carrying it? Any progression on davit type choice?

I'd get something like mine. You can remove the davits leaving just the pedestal base which is flush. Speak to me before you get them though.

Bruce We tested out the Buoy in Rowen yesterday. Our first trip out this season taking our social distancing exercise. Buoy and boat ok! Even better news for you and Roy.
I hear the rozzer is still in Thailand!

Phil will name and shame you if he catches you speeding past his front window.
Looks like I might make it to pirates cove on Wednesday.

Rowen available to visitors again? That will be fantastic news. I was going to join the local dinghy club this season and denude J of her dinghy as another water activity to add to my bow.

It wasn't Phil who gabbed to the rozzers last time now was it? Do you two take turns or something? Besides I always go through at 5 knts but I shall be sure to blow the horn copiously, for safety sake :p

'Pirate' alert!
Doing some boat shunting Wednesday
Involving Boats from Rhyl, Deganwy and Felin
Beware!
Der mean Pilots cove?
By the way?

Do keep up. There was a race a couple years ago. A yottie wharf rat left Caernarfon at the same time as a Mobo left Conwy. The prize of this race was priority anchoring rights in Mermaids Cove. The yottie never stood a chance. His 6 nautical miles to my 30. I passed him at 28 right at the dogleg at the Bar. Since then no wharf rat has risen to the challenge to take it back. It belongs to the pirates now. (y) ?
