I think today might be the summer so if you don't go sailing today then you might miss it! The sky is blue and there's a big glowing ball up there, I forget its name but it's hurting my eyes which I seem to remember was what happenned in summer...
 
You can all thank me for that...I'm drying out, scrubbing and antifouling today and I put 50p in the sunshine meter last night...

Just hope the tides big enough to get on the grid! TBH, if it's not, I'll just have to go sailing...:cool:

Summer usually is a nice day each year.
 
Spring is postponed

Spring thinks it's too late to start now05-04-13
SPRING will bypass the UK this year after deciding that to arrive so late would be unbearably awkward.


It’s all become ‘too much of thing’
The yearly weather pattern claimed the weight of expectation is just too much to bear.


Spring said: “I’ve given this a lot of thought, and it’s going to be better for everyone if we pick this up next year.


“To kick things off in April would just feel weird. Usually I like to be around for the equinox but for various reasons that didn’t happen.


“Personally I just feel that I need that time from March to June to do my thing, I like to tell a story with my work, to take everyone on a journey from lambs and blossom through into summer.


“Sorry if I’ve let anyone down but Winter says its fine to take the April-June slot.


“I’ll be back next year with something special for all those people who really like me.”


Winter said: “I’m getting all the hate here but it’s Spring that’s being a dick.


“That said, this is a great opportunity to convince everyone that subzero temperatures are the way forward.


“Also I’m going to be mixing it up a little, introducing some sunny days that look nice but when you go out in them are actually f***ing freezing.”
 
Stunning day. Finished the chain plates and priming over the hull repairs. Anti foul tomorrow and mast due up tomorow. We ARE making progress :)

Not really. Engine is short of coolant, missing a fuel filter, and leaking oil (well, hopefully it's no longer leaking oil but it was this morning). Also most of the box it lives in is in pieces in my shed, which does not strictly prevent me using it but would make things rather noisy on board.

Plan is for a test sail on the 20th, to be ready for the Poole jaunt on the 26th. Got an extra crew member joining us now for the Lymington to Poole leg only - one very excited five year old :)
