Waiting options going into Liverpool Marina

I'm passage planning/pilotage from Preston to Brunswick Dock, Marina.
Both have daytime only limitations on locking (avoiding a £60 fee for Liverpool)
6t long keel 1.5m draft
Plan A- depart Preston early doors after mooring outside the lock the tide before. (Preferred option, I know the river at night.)
Plan B- depart Preston daytime and pick up a mooring at New Brighton
Plan C- ditto plan B but anchor
Plan D- depart daytime Preston, anchor at Hilbre Island overnight

Likely to be at or near springs. Trip will be only in F4 max conditions.
I'm familiar with Liverpool Marina and Preston pilotage.
Thoughts about New Brighton or Hilbre please.

We have anchored in the Mersey off New Brighton. I believe that at one time Wallasey SC had moorings there. No problem in moderate conditions and probably ok in fresh SW or W.

If you have the tide with you could anchor or pick up a mooring at Tranmere ,which is opposite Liverpool marina.
