Good morning I wondered if someone could help us out please. Our top loading fridge is playing up as we had some help a while back as the fridge was not working and the thermostat was changed but we think the way it was put in was not right.
Has anyone changed the thermostat in the fridge before as the fridge is running all the time now instead of switching thus running down the solar power too quickly. We just want to know how far the thermostat capillary probe goes
inside the small hole located under the dial housing inside the fridge please.

They are notorious for the switching control unit that decided wether 12 ( or if appropriate 24 v ) and 220 / 240 packing up .

When it does pack up it works on neither just turns itself off .Or it’s permanently on like you say .

We used to carry a spare and Sunseeker just gave them away , I once went in to the tech service dept in La Napoule described the issue and the tech said “ you look a bright fellow , here’s two units just remove the helm seat and replace it “
It worked .

Lesson = avoid Waeco cool matic top loader in the future ! = learnt .

Hi yes it works but just runs constantly and then runs our battery down as it is not cycling like it should for so many minutes off and on. I think it is the thermostat but don't know how far it is supposed to be in the fridge under the control panel, If anyone has one please can someone check theirs please

This is the old one that was taken out just need to know how far it is supposed to go into the hole under the cover that has the dial on to turn up and down the fridge inside .Thanks

Just coming back to my original post we are still having problems with the fridge and the compressor running constantly.
Ordered a thermostat 077b0316 as told this is the right one for the fridge but when I checked the part no as it is still constantly running i
found out that it is the wrong thermostat and should be 077B0367L which is a 207585208 thermostat for the Waeco CB40 and 36.

Does anyone have the same fridge so I know how far down the Capillary tube with the capillary bulb on the end goes down inside the hole inside the fridge behind the housing cover?
