As above really. Both engines start on first touch of the key but the starboard side will stop after a second or so and takes about 2-3 seconds of turning over to start again - and it will stay started until I manually stop it.

I haven’t done anything to investigate this yet and am looking for ideas before I do. My generator is also having problems starting and that is running from the same fuel tank and I don’t know whether it is a coincidence or completely unrelated.

Air leak on the fuel side that’s common to both would be my first go to. Fuel is leaking…flowing backwards at rest. First start uses what’s in the pump/ injector lines then no fuel. 2nd spinning over pulls more fuel through and off it goes.

check your pre filter. I know you’ve had it apart a few times ?

That makes sense and indeed I have - many many times…..

‘After’
Put new hatches in too on ‘Crossbow’ ( Tamd60c engines Folks) had all the fuel removed and polished (1000litres) the above picture was before the final ‘minting’ two tanks incidentally
Apart from an initial dosing of snake oil the engines have done 58 hours with no probs
The genny running off the same supply had probs like yours M8
None since
Changed filters just for the hell of it and to put the mind at rest
Must add though
The port side lift pump has been renewed
There was a glitch after about 8 hours in that the motor ‘hesitated’ at around 2200 rpm
Would run at 1100 ok but no more
Logically it wasn’t the cure
But it bloody did!!!!??
Are you still getting crap in the filters after the mopping out?

I’ve not actually been anywhere since getting back to Swansea tbh. I’ve got a daft mate with a Squadron 43 who is happy to use his while I’m sorting mine out….. you may have met him…..
