VP MD22l (Perkins Prima M50) water pump

I would like to get a spare sea water pump for our VP MD22L (Perkins Prima M50). I see that VP want the best part of 900 Euro but it appears to be a Jabsco pump (which are a fraction of that price). Does anyone know if there is a suitable Jabsco pump available and, if so, from where?

I have the same engine and recently got mine rebuilt I Corfu for €70. That was after ten years service so If you're by this way why not get yours done and thereby drastically reduce the possible need for replacement?

I have now discovered that trickettmarineproducts.co.uk sell the same pump an ST149 (unbadged by Volvo) for £208.66 inc VAT and delivery. I.e. about 1/3 the Volvo price - says it all really!

I don't recall the British Leyland Montego needing a sea water pump

I've just replaced my pump and will recondition the old one with new seals and bearings etc. I was planning on putting it on eBay, is it worth having a spare?
